The NS S Unit of K K N P M G V H S S, Pariyaram had conducted the Special Camping Progrramme for NSS Volunteers from 19th December 2009 to 25th December 2009 at Kairali Vayanasala, Morazha, Kannur
The Camp started with registration of volunteers on 19th December 2009 at 10am after registration the volunteers cleaned and arranged the Camp Venue. The formal inauguration of the Camp was at 2pm. The function started with N S S GEETHAM. Welcome Speech was rendered by Mrs. Shemy A.S NSS P.O of the school. The Camp was inaugurated by Sri Vadi Ravi (Chairman, Thaliparamba Municipality) Presided by Sri A V Babu (Health, Education Standing Committee Chairman). After that there was felicitation by famous Personalities. The function was over with Vote of Thanks by Sri Sathyan P HOD of the school…
After formal inauguration the icebreaking session was started at 5.30 pm. Mr. J C Suresh J C I Trainer gave an introduction to the “Group Living” with simple games and brainstorming.
December 20th 2009 Sunday
After breakfast started cleaning programme at Fisheries Hospital, Vellikkeel, Morazha. The volunteers were actively engaged in the cleaning of hospital premises and the disposal of waste. This helped to create health awareness among the volunteers. At 6pm there was an effective class on “Health and Lifestyle” by T K Muraleedharan. It was followed by review, feedback session and cultural activities of the volunteers.
December 21st 2009 Monday
The day started with documentation. After that there was MagicShow“Ambarappikkunna Sasthram” by Gangan Azheekode .He revealed the secrets of magic and performed some bits of magic which was a new experience to all the participants. After lunch a sports meet for volunteers were conducted at the Vayanasala ground. At 6.30 pm there was Vana nireekshanam by K.P Pradeep Kumar SSA Trainer .The trainer presented some interesting pictures and statistics relating Astrophysics with the support of L C D Projector. After that they observed some stars through telescope. The day ended with the cultural programmes and feedback sessions of the volunteers.
December 22nd 2009 Tuesday
It was supposed to do a “Total Energy Survey” at 8.30am onwards, but could not be conducted due to the failure in the supply of forms and instructions from ANERT. So the volunteers engaged in cleaning of Vellikkeel road and Vayanasala premises. At 7pm there was a very interesting programme “Psychodrama” by Sudheesh Payyoli. All the participants were sunk in this stage hypnotism and enjoyed well. The day ended with review and feedback session.
December 23rd 2009 Wednesday
The camp started with documentation and then they were engaged in cleaning activities near Camp Venue. At 2pm the famous Comedy actor Charley Chaplin’s film “The Kid” was displayed in the Camp. The film told the story of an abandoned child and his care taker. The thought provoking the story and the fast humorous action made the students in a fun world. At 5 pm State Coordinator Mr. Fazil, District Coordinator Sri Babu P P and team visited the Camp Venue and gave some tips to the volunteers and that was a very memorable event among them. At 7pm there was a seminar on “Global warming” by Sri Gangadharan Master (Sasthra Sahithya Paris hath) .He illustrated the effect of the global warming with the help of L C D Projector. It was followed by overview and feedback session.
December 24th 2009 Thursday
The day started with Energy Survey. The volunteers were grouped in to 14 groups each having three members. A Questionnaire was given to the volunteers having questions regarding Energy Conservation and asked them to collect the data. They collected the datas of nearby houses and gave awareness about Energy Conservation. At 6 30 pm there was a “Gana Sandhya” by Sri A V Janardhanan Master (Vidya Rangam Kala Sahithya Vedi) At 9 30 pm there were Christmas Celebrations. The Christmas tree and the Crib made by the volunteers was very attractive. The whole hearted support of local peoples encouraged our volunteers to make the Celebrations and the Carol a great success. After that there was a Karoke Ganamela by the Camp Members and the day ended with Camp fire.
December 25th 2009
It was the Christmas day. The day started with Christmas message and HOD Mr. Sathyan Master cut the Cake and distributed to the volunteers. Then all the Volunteers shared their seven day’s Camp experiences. The closing ceremony started at 11am. Mr. Jyothish Staff Secretary of the school welcomed all the distinguished personalities to the function. The ceremony was inaugurated by Sri C K P Padmanabhan M L A Presided by Sri T Balakrishnan Vice Chairman Thaliparamba Municipality. The volunteer certificates were distributed by Sri K Damodharan Master (President, Morazha Service Co Operative Society). After that there were facilitations by famous Personalities. The function was over with Vote of Thanks by Mr. Dhanesh Teacher of this school. After lunch all were dispersed.
From the part of participants the Camp was such a great experience for them. We hope this will certainly help the volunteers for developing the social and civic responsibilities.
